i personally don't own the fillmore shows (im guessin your talkin about the 1968 fillmore shows), so i can't tell you if the proggression is different, but if you own Live/Dead, the progression is pretty much E to A, you can use the 7 form of em if you want (i prefer not to, i think they sound darker that way). This dark thing? Im guessing you mean Dark Star, THE greatest jam song ever created, save maybe Jessica. Im guessing you mean Dark Star, not because you said Dark, but because with Phil Lesh leading on bass and Jerry doing those eerie solos, it does indeed sound dark.
