After having played piano for many years I decided at age 42 to pick up the guitar. I still study the piano with a teacher but I am not ready to do the same with the guitar due to cost. This website appears to be the perfect solution for someone like me who enjoys spending free time making music. The guitar, unlike the piano, is so portable and versatile as a social form of music. In the past week I have enjoyed Mrs. McCormick's introduction to guitar fundamentals and most certainly know more now about the instrument than when I started. I've also found that people I know are coming out of the woodwork with offers to help. That's good for me because I need to have someone willing to listen to me on a regular basis since I am doing this learning online without the benefit of a real person to give me regular feedback. I look forward to growing as a musician and thank the folks that put together this site for doing so.
