YES.. They are fun!!! Most all of them sound really cool as well!!!

I had an issue at first as well and the first couple songs I worked on that had them, such as Simple Man & Here Without You, were a bit of a learning curve.

At first it seemed really complicated. Till I realized, for example, in Here Without You, there are 3 main chords. When it is played it sounds really complicated to a newer guitar player.

ITS NOT!!!

Pick a song you like to listen to and enjoy. This is the most important step!!!

I suggest starting with a song in the GT song library!

Like I mentioned above there are only a few main chords,make sure you are comfortable with the chords. Now here is the secret no one will tell you LOL!!! :) :)

Watch the picking pattern for the first chord..... Practice that...Once you have that... POW... you are, 90% of the time good to go! The pattern continues and is pretty well the same with each chord and will really only change with the root note from one chord to the next.

Once you have the picking pattern you are more than likely GOOD TO GO!

P.S.

Without knowing what your skill level is like... Simple Man is pretty easy and to just work on this skill, the intro and slight variations in the rest of the song are mainly C, G and Am.
