Over the A chord: A major pentatonic or A blues

Over the E chord: E major pentatonic

Feel free to experiment. For example, see how you like the sound of playing A blues throughout the whole progression. Also try playing E blues over the E chord. Zoom in your ear to hear the difference in the sound of each scale. Go with what you feel sounds best.
