My former boss plays bass and I think several other instruments, but we never got to jam, and he lives about 50 miles away. I haven't found out if any of my other co-workers play guitar, but on a couple of the construction jobs I've worked, there was always at least one guy who was a guitarist, and a couple of times we were able to jam during lunch breaks.
I can't read music, and while I can mostly read tab, about the closest I ever get to playing individual notes is that descending Em pentatonic scale that's in "Rumble" by Link Wray. (The movie "Independence Day" was on TV tonight, and I caught the diner scene with the song in it.)
Thanks for the welcome. I work as a thru-freight conductor for UPRR. At the away terminal for the route I work, I keep a guitar and practice amp at the hotel. Great way to pass the time.
But I'll bet you never had a punch-up with Bob Barker. 8-D
Maybe if Barker played guitar and there was a Pro-Am, there could be a throw down.... ya never know. :p
They've done studies you know... 60% of the time, it works EVERY time.
