Caponi14,

“What do you mean by the last question? Im a pretty standard guy that likes rock/blues/country/hard rock/metal even some jazz.”

Do you own a CD that you love a few songs and other songs you do not like? You might even push a button to skip past it. The ones you like for whatever reason you like them, you connect to them. Other leads on the CD you just don’t connect to. That does not mean they are not good. I love old rock and old blues…. but not all of it.

“But in the beginning of my playing years i only wanted to sound like Slash, maybe it has done something to me.. I don't know”

This time you typed the thoughts rolling around in my head. You have a lot of skill, branch out. Find a bluegrass song on this site and learn the lead. It is amazing how little it takes to totally change a bend to make it fit a different style.
