A common subject, a common problem.

'Everyone' questions their hands and fingers at the start. Too weak, too short, too small, too big, won't stretch, won't arch, too tender... On the other hand, there are numerous stories of guitarists with damaged hands, missing fingers, arthritis...all who persevered.

Just as there are some that find guitar easy (I've heard this...don't know any myself ;) ) some find it more difficult than the average beginner. If one is in that company the solution is to work harder; to practice more. That may sound simplistic...it may be simplistic...but I and most here believe all of the above perceived problems will be overcome with practice. It might take longer than others but the journey never ends so there is no rush.

One thing I learned a bit late...pay close attention to good form and technique. It makes playing much better and easier and saves a bunch of heartache from un-doing bad habits. Trust me. :)

Listen to compart1 above...he's smart. Most of all, keep it fun.
"It takes a lot of devotion and work, or maybe I should say play, because if you love it, that's what it amounts to. I haven't found any shortcuts, and I've been looking for a long time."
