Looking back on it, it took me a long time to learn that 'we' are supposed to stretch the strings when re-stringing a guitar. It makes a world of difference and pretty much eliminates the settling-in period of new strings.

There are bunches of 'how-to's' on the net about restringing and these are three of my favorites that address stretching new strings; Justin Guitar @ http://www.justinguitar.com/en/TB-004-ChangeStringsAcoustic.php , this from Acoustic Guitar @ http://www.acousticguitar.com/How-To/Restringing-Tips?spMailingID=11055034&spUserID=NzQ2ODYyMzQ5NzYS1&spJobID=343726099&spReportId=MzQzNzI2MDk5S0 and this from Guitar World @ http://www.guitarworld.com/video-and-photo-gallery-how-replace-strings-electric-guitar#slide-0 .

But that's all about stretching...check with Steve White about your string buzz.
"It takes a lot of devotion and work, or maybe I should say play, because if you love it, that's what it amounts to. I haven't found any shortcuts, and I've been looking for a long time."
