What kind of guitar do you have? Fret buzz is usually caused by the strings being too low. If it happened after a string change, it might be due to the strings sitting incorrectly on the bridge or the neck being bowed.
Sometimes new strings are flawed & the windings are broken or loose causing a rattling or buzzing sound. But electric sets have an unwound G string, while acoustic strings have a wound G string. That's why I asked about your guitar.
