So which verion of Fireworks are you using? . . . and does it do popup menues???


Getting your guitar to your computer can be quite a chore, but a basic setup would be a guitar, a cable, and a soundcard. I always go through my amp, then from the amp headphone jack to the sound card. Any old sound card will do (as long as it has a line-in), but if you want better quality, go with Guillemont (sp?). As for programs, there are myriads of these, everything from free shareware to thousand dollar development/recording suites. And there's always the issue of multitracking, if you want to add drums and other instros. Try out Sound Forge Acid. It has pretty decent multitracking features, and it'll let you add drum loops. Plus, you can record your guitar right into it as a separate track.
