I have a epi les paul plus top pro, the neck is straight when checked with a straight edge. The problem is when I put the capo on the first fret and hold down the string on the 17th fret all the strings touch the frets all along the board. It plays OK with no fret buzz. But at the first fret there is a small space between string and fret and as you go down the board the space gets bigger, so there is a big difference between the action from the first fret to the 17th. The intonation is good, do I need to adjust the truss rod to fix this problem. It just seems that the action is to high closer to the body and to low near the nut. Any ideas or advice would help.
