Hi guys,
I would like to use wireless headphones for practice, so that I can practice in quiet without the inconvenience of an umbilical cord.
I am a little concerned about latency (the delay between plucking a note and hearing it in the phones). I would appreciate feedback from anyone who has experience with this, including any recommendations regarding make and model.
I understand that there are basically 3 basic types of wireless headphones: -
(1) Inferred – probably not many around now and not a good choice due to line of sight reception and low range.
(2) Blue Tooth – mainly intended for use with smart phones etc. Often not great quality and also limited range.
(3) Radio – VHF, UHF & 2.4GHz specifically. Probably one of these would be best.
I would think that analogue technology would be better for this application as processing time (thus latency) would be less, but it seems that most radio phones available now are digital.
Does anyone have any experience that they could share with me please?
