I am trying to play an electric guitar through a pre-amp made by M Audio called the Mobile Pre USB. I have a very old edition of Steinberg Cubase and I'm using Windows Vista on a desktop.
I would like to play my guitar and add hear real time effects through the speakers, but currently I have only figured out how to record it clean and hear effects when I play it back in the time line.
I can't find any info through Cubase, partially because it's so old and no longer supported.
Does any one have experience with this or a similar set up?
Regardless if it works in Cubase or not, is there a cheap or free software FX that I can use to hear my guitar with real time effects?
