I do not have this interface so it is a bit difficult to know what is wrong. Do you use ASIO drivers for the sound input to Amplitube? There is something called input buffers in the ASIO driver settings that could be increased to increase latency, but also reduce load on the CPU.
Do you listen through the headphone out of the Alesis or do the sound come out of your speakers?
