I use Amplitube to record and practice. I'm running my guitar into my Alesis iO2 and then straight into Amplitube.
Lately I've found that I can get a better sound by running my guitar through my amp and then through the interface and then bypassing everything in Amplitube.
I have Cubase but it's so complicated to learn that I haven't used it for recording yet.
