There's a type of pickup made by a company called Fishman, which actually replaces the bridge of your acoustic guitar. The output jack replaces your strap button. The sound of the pickup is supposed to be very good. Actually, I think I remember Jon (the webmaster of this site) saying a couple years ago that he put one in his guitar - what's the verdict, Jon? And how much was the pickup?
