I'm glad to hear you're going for it! Why not? I'm kind of torn because I've been obsessed with playing lead guitar and shredding, yet I like to sing and I have a pretty decent voice. But I don't want to be stuck behind a microphone only playing rhythm here and there.

So my indecisiveness is getting in the way lol.

But anyway, learning to sing while playing rhythm is actually a bit harder than it seems. The trick seems to be to really get down the song on guitar to the point where you don't have to think about it, THEN you can worry about singing along to it. And you have to know exactly what words goes to which chord change. Interestingly enough, it seems like the easiest songs to practice this with is worship songs (like in church). I don't go to church anymore, but I remember some of the songs they used to play which were pretty easy. Did you just start learning guitar?
