I dont know what that fellow uses but I am a "tone freak" you could say. I believe in spending money to get the tone I want even if it means maxing out all credit cards. I would suggest you start buying pedals. Start off with distortion thats the backbone to every pedal board and as you have money buy others. I buy alot on ebay, I love it I buy something use it for a month or two then if I don't like it I sell it for something else. That way I get to try all different stuff.

Oh,!!!!!!!!! GO to Harmony Central its a great database that lets you look at other peoples feedback on gear. People tell you what they like or dislike about their gear and how much they pay for it.

Like the other person said dont strive to sound like someone else try to be origanal. But most importantly have fun if you like the Incubus tone then go for it that doesnt mean you'll sound like them it just means your tone will be similar, your music can be completly opposite.
