I don't know, my strat jumped out of its stand when I was rearranging things to make room for my PRS. I think it was trying to take a swing at me. Silly thing put a small dent in itself. I think it was jealous :-).

On a serious note...you make a good point about motivation! It's part of what has prodded me to acquire gear over the years. Just don't let it get out of control...at some point you have to focus on improving your playing and all the new gear in the world isn't going to do that for you.
