Another way to make your money go further is to be the guy who buys player B or player C's used guitar. This will take patience, you will need to know what you are looking for, and you won't have the selection of colors or options you would have with a new guitar. If you are new to guitars, you would also want to bring an experienced player with you to help you determine if the guitar has any issues - warped neck, etc.
