Sgt Tee - that's a good idea.

I use Tortex picks which have a rough texture to the finish without being bumpy. If you pick one up, you'll know what I mean. They are made by Dunlop. This is opposed to the perfectly smooth tortise shell style picks that are common. That helps with the grip.
