Welcome to the site! That's a neat looking guitar (I looked it up online). Is it really "semi-acoustic", in that you can plug it in to an amplifier? The ones I saw looked like they were strictly acoustic but that was just the few I found pictures of.

Have fun with the lessons, but also, every day, take a little "me" time with you and your guitar... just play for fun and experiment without worrying about practice or getting things "right"... even if its just for a few minutes a day.
