When I bought an iPad in 2010, it changed forever the way I play and practice guitar. Now I watch all my Guitar Tricks lessons on it, and have transcribed hundreds of songs I love most (words and chords), to my tablet PC. As a result, it's way easier and faster to set up and find music, so I play guitar much more and longer than I used to.

But the problem was, where to put the iPad when I played. I always had to find a desk or table top, or use a rickety music stand. Which were clunky solutions that always got in the way of the guitar.

So I invented my own solution. It's a thigh-mounted foam pad that straps just above the knee when seated, and securely accommodates any sized tablet. I named it the ThiPad. I'm not going to ballyhoo it here. I just want to share its existence with other guitarists because I believe many can benefit from it. I hope this is not in any violation of terms or etiquette. If it is I apologize, and will understand if this is removed. All I will say is, I use it every day and I'm a much better guitarist for it. Maybe it will help you, too.
