My question if anyone can assist- I have a book of arpeggio's, scales and chords by Al Politano. It shows arpeggio's in groups of major, minor, augmented, suspended 4th, dominant 7th, diminished 7th, major 7th, minor 7th, ect...it will reveal before each group you are playing the 1,3,5 or the 1,b3,5 or 1,3,5,7, you get the picture, how can I when playing each arpgeggio or (scale) identify which note is 1 or 3 or b7, or #5? dont some arpeggio patterns begin on a note other than 1 if your playing the same notes in different shapes? I'm dealing with 6 different ways or more to play the same grouping-major, minor, dim 7th, major 9th, ect...I would appreciate any insights one may offer. Keep in mind that these patterns are moveable around the fretboard.
thanks,
