As I posted above, I'm kinda an oldies guy myself. But I have no problem admitting that the 70's music...the actual composition and lyrics...was superior following rock's, et al.; big leap forward from the mid/late-60's.

I have a theory...the Beatles and the changes they wrought, are to rock music as talkies were to silent movies... They ended an era, blew up a lot of careers and started a mesmerizing period of music and music makers.

Now, as to being pretty ancient... :eek:
