I've been a member for a few years now & have been using the site all wrong. I'd play the guitar for awhile & put it down for months. I then would go on the Guitar Tricks website & try to learn the solos from Hotel California or something like that. Obviously, I couldn't play it so I would put the guitar way again.
This time I am starting at the beginning. I am learning things that I thought I already knew. My advice to anyone would be to start at the beginning. What may seem like an obvious thing has greatly improved my playing. I still can't play the solo to Hotel California yet but I will after I follow the courses from the beginning.
