Hi!

My name is Pam aka witchstorm. Back in 1982, I bout a 1971 Kay Guitar. Carved back, cracked bridge, steel string guitar. $35 bucks at a pond shop in Bakersfield, CA. Loved that guitar. Sounded so good, even with cracked bridge. And, could hold a tune so well. Now, I am right handed, but, I knew no difference between right handed and left handed guitars. It seems that I had a guitar set up for left handed player. First book I got was Roy Clark Big Note Book. Still have it. I had learned to read the sheet music playing left handed. Could only play single notes. But, it was fun.

Then, I got married. My husband plays very well. And, realized I was playing left handed, when I am right handed. Needless to say, I have tried to play the way he says I have to play, for the past 30 years. Never getting where I was, when playing left handed. Well, last year I broke my little finger on the left hand. Can't straighten it all the way. Nor put a lot of pressure on it.

Now, with my husband working over seas, I have went back to playing left handed. So, much better! I went and bought a left handed Oscar Schmidt by Washburn. Love it. Still, it is a little thick for me. So, I went and bought a left handed Strat Squier by Fender. I have never picked up a electric guitar before. I love how easy it is to get my little hands around the neck. It's still heavy, but the strap helps a great deal.

I signed up here to learn more than just pick notes. My goal is to learn chords. I have 30 years to catch up on. It's nice to meet all of you. Hope to make many friends here. Have a great day everyone!
