I sometimes have that same problem trying to figure out what I feel comfortable playing without getting frustrated. I know that everyone learns differently and I have been a member for awhile too but what keeps me interested is I also have a game called Rocksmith. You hook your guitar up to a computer or game console and play song throught it. I would not say it is a learning tool like guitar tricks or to replace it, but it does teach you some things and it keeps it fun. i would say try that and see if it works for you
