Yes, as long as you use the same pattern. This fretboard pattern is the 1st "box shape" of the A minor pentatonic scale:

E ||---|---|---|---|-1-|---|---|-3-|---|---|
B ||---|---|---|---|-5-|---|---|-7-|---|---|
G ||---|---|---|---|-3-|---|-4-|---|---|---|
D ||---|---|---|---|-7-|---|-1-|---|---|---|
A ||---|---|---|---|-4-|---|-5-|---|---|---|
E ||---|---|---|---|-1-|---|---|-3-|---|---|

Slide that pattern down 3 frets and it becomes the 1st "box shape" of the A major pentatonic scale:

E ||---|-6-|---|---|-1-|---|---|---|---|---|
B ||---|-3-|---|---|-5-|---|---|---|---|---|
G ||---|-1-|---|-2-|---|---|---|---|---|---|
D ||---|-5-|---|-6-|---|---|---|---|---|---|
A ||---|-2-|---|-3-|---|---|---|---|---|---|
E ||---|-6-|---|---|-1-|---|---|---|---|---|

If this theory is correct so that would mean that everywhere on the fret board falls under this rule

Yes, you've got the idea. :) Keep any given scale pattern consistent & you can move it around the fretboard at will changing keys.

I cover this topic in depth in this tutorial on pentatonic scales:

This tutorial is all about covering the fretboard with major pentatonic boxes:
