I have a 12 string guitar that I find harder and harder to play. I'm 60 and advancing age and hand strength and dexterity are slowing down. I have read that some seasoned 12 string player sometimes remove certain strings from their guitars as an aid to fingering and forming chords. My question is: Which strings are removed from a 12 string guitar to lessen a tired hand? I understand that some sound is compromised.
