ARE YOU KIDDING?

The first songs in this list should have been Pink Floyd's "Comfortably Numb " and The Eagles' "Hotel California ".

How could these not make the list? They are the ULTIMATE outros! Carefully - even painstakingly - crafted, and perfectly executed!

I'm sorry but Clapton's "Layla" was really a wandering conglomeration meandering notes with no direction, no destination. Sure there were some recurring themes but ultimately it lead nowhere. As an improvisation sure it's OK and I know "improvising" a timeless solo is supposed to be the apex aspired to by all lead guitar players but there's nothing like going into a solo with a plan or a strategy to produce something truly memorable. Clapton's "Layla" pales in comparison.
