Is there any lessons, practice routines, or anything on how to get better at string muting? I have a terrible time of it. I can palm mute some of the time, but depending on the string, I end up either muting the string I'm playing, or getting a lot of sympathetic vibrations.

I play electric, currently a Les Paul Studio with 9's.
