Wow, Alvin Lee is one of my all time favorite guitar players. His song, "Standing At The Station" has one of the most incredible guitar solos/finishes of all time. Unfortunately he passed away earlier this year but he leaves a legacy that has inspired many.
I was lucky (and old) enough to have seen Tommy Bolin play with Deep Purple and I saw Leslie West play with both Mountain and WBL. The version of "Nantucket Sleighride" on the live album "The Road Goes Ever ON" still gives me chills when West goes into his solo.
