Hi I'm Steve 42yo married, I live in Socal.

I've always wanted to learn to play the guitar and finally decided to take the plunge with a Seagull S6 Acoustic.

Seems there is a bit of a learning curve to all new pursuits. I started with a Fender (officially my first guitar for like 5 days, LOL) and returned it later for the Seagull. I'm much happier with the new guitar, the neck profile, the matte finish and the larger nut makes it easier to move my hand and fit in my wide fingers between frets. After using the Fender for 5 days I could tell my porkiness was going to be an issue for a noob player such as myself. As soon as I got the Seagull home I could play almost all the chords I couldn't on the Fender.

I seem to become obsessed with and am practicing till my fingers hurt. I'm eagerly consuming your web sites lesson content. =)

I'm looking forward to playing a few of my favorite acoustic songs in the future, such as:

Colin Hay - Overkill
Alexi Murdoch - Breathe
Foo Fighters - Everlong
The Lonely Island [Feat T-Pain] - I'm on a Boat (just jokin about this one)

seems whenever you want to list them you cant think of them *sigh* you get the idea!

Once again Hi all, and I'm looking forward to the communal guitar chat.

Steve
