Both the Les Paul and PRS (US) are quality guitars. I found the tuning holds better on the PRS and it feels and plays like a guitarist's guitar. The LP has a great tone but is kinda clunky and has less attractive lines I guess it comes down to individual choice as to feel and tone. I have had both gibson and PRS guitars and I love both. For a gibson, I prefer an SG with P90s though.
