I have used about every type and brand of string you can imagine. I have settled on Elixir strings for both acoustic and electric over the last few years and don't plan to change anytime soon.

I prefer the Nanoweb type, as the Polyweb series has an additional coating that wears off and changes the tone of the strings pretty severely (in my opinion.) I honestly think it's about what feels comfortable for your fingers and also, how much acidity you have in your fingers. I tend to thrash around quite a bit and play pretty hard, so I need something durable. Whatever can endure a beating from me I will stand by :)
