I think true beginners should look into the low wattage tube amp after using this amp. I liked the Vox, do not get me wrong, but it had way to many options and was really hard to sort it all out. I never was able to seem to find just the right tone, one was just way too clean,, the other to far the other direction. I like to concept of the modeling amp, if your a true beginner, keep it simple.

Thanks for the input from you guys. I agree the VK212 would be too much so i went with the 112, love how easy it is to dial in a sound.
