I am a beginner player, and I mean beginner. I would most likely be better if i would practice more and stop reading about it, but enough about that. I am learning the fret board while practicing a couple of scales,, about to state using metronome. Also working on several chords and chord swapping also.Any ways i have Ibanez Art100 and a modded Squire Strat ( with tex-mex pups and 250 pots now).
Now to the question. I use a Vox AD30VT-XL amp to practice on. This is good little amp but have always wanted the sound of tube driven amp, and what I have read in post and reviews of several ss and hybrid amps they fade when cranked up but sound great at low volume stands true of this little amp as well.
I have come across a peavey 212 Valveking , used, but a good price, At this same shop I can get the 112 Valveking for slightly cheaper. I really think for me now the 112 VK would be more practical. Thoughts anyone?
I will say the temptation for the 212VK is there,, but I just do not see having something that size to learn on :)
