as far as effects go, is it better to get individual pedals instead of a multi effects unit like BOSS GT-8 or GT-10?
I know a few guys who swear that pedals sound much better and are the way to go, and that even though they are more expensive then multi effects units (to get a decent distortion, delay, reverb, chorus, eq, noise suspensor, compressor, and a wah you would need at least 500 quid, while you could get all these and a hundread more effects in one multi effects unit like boss gt-8 for 150 quid used on ebay). I have noticed that the value of multi effects units drops drasticaly when new models come out, while the price of pedals, whether new or old, remains quite constant.
So, what are your thoughts on this matter? I am asking for your personal thoughts and opinions, from your personal experience.
