Sucks but . . .   Learn it note for note (it's a pain but you can't break the rules until you know the rules). It will teach you many things - touch, timing, feel, dynamics, scales, how & what notes to put together, etc... After you know the solo, you'll be amazed at the number of solos use some or all of the solo you just learned (scales are scales). Part of your dues.
