Yup, guitar lessons aren't cheap ANYWHERE unless you can find someone to teach you out of the goodness of their heart.
I gave my grandson my Strat this past Christmas. I looked into finding some lessons for him. The cheapest I could find (since his parents are strapped for cash) was $60 for 2 lessons for the month... half hour each! Well, since they thought that the lessons were too much, I started showing him how to read notations, teach him the chords etc... He's picking up on it very fast!
