Double locking means that the strings are locked on both ends (by clamps or whatever), so floyd rose is double locking. I like to toy around with them, great fun, but I still prefer my guitar without one. Yamaha Pacifica has the most comfortable FR tremolo I've tried, and it sounds fabulous.
