Also notice that the Aminor chord shares two notes with Cmajor (a - C - E and C - E - g) while Dminor doesn't share any in common (d - f - a ). The only other minor chord that shares two is Eminor (3rd degree, E - G - b) but it doesn't share the C note, which is the central tone or tonic.
