I hope that word is safe on here. Any way I give you credit for getting out there Bruce. I am messed up with a few disabilities from Nam but I would like to do it once more. I play every day and try to add something new every day. I cant remember it the next day but I am having fun and this is what playing the guitar should be about. You should not play guitar because you want to be cool or get women. Its something that has been a true friend to me for 50 years now. I told my son when I die to at least display one of my guitars at the viewing, maybe the 65 Jag my Dad bought me when I was 15 years old from Manny's Music in New York City. We used to take a train down town from The Bronx and hang out at the store and try and catch some rock guys that were popular. I did get to see The Lovin Spoonful at the store. They told us to watch Ed Sullivan show that they were going to be on it. We started cracking up but guess what I tuned in and there they were. Cream Hendrix, Beatles, Vanilla Fudge were all big influences for me. Hey it was the 60's. I got to see Jimi at Hunter College, unbelievable!! Well I spouted off enough. I will play as long as my body lets me and then I will study and watch Rock Videos until the day I die, Belonging to this site is doing me real good and helps me stay grounded, You are all a great bunch, including the instructors so keep rocking, Pete (also)

Hi Sgt Tee,

Your letter really made me sit up and appreciate what I have, your expereince in Nam etc, your wonderful stories made me think. I am in England so thousands of miles away from you guys but would love to hook up one day. maybe a Guitar Tricks seminar is something the organisers could get together, it's my 60th next year and Nashville is on my list of things to do or maybe Austin Texas? no sure which, plus I have to break it to the wife about the costs :-)

Rock on boys (great thread)
