Hi, Pete. I was a little, but just a little worried the first time. I was doing just two songs that I knew well. I also got to warm up with the band a bit which really helped me to relax before being called up later. After the two songs they asked me to stay for two more, one of which I knew pretty well and i'm still not sure what the fourth song was. I just watched the chord changes and tried to keep up!

Once we started our own band it was even better because of course we had all the fun practicing. The hardest part about doing the gigs was dealing with all the complications of the PA, mixer, power supply, etc. The playing was the easy part! I really encourage you to hook up with some buddies to play. It's a lot more fun and you'll learn a lot too especially if you have at least a couple more experienced guys.

I play an electric guitar in the band (Strat), but I play an acoustic at home a lot.
