Everyone from Taylor Swift to Train (with their enormous hit "Hey, Soul Sister") to Will.i.am to Eddie Vedder seems to have embraced the instrument as of late. The music chain Guitar Center saw a 300% increase in uke sales since 2008, and sheet-music publishers are putting out uke songbooks on bands from The Beatles to Black Sabbath. But as far as the versatile Vedder goes, he's already back in the studio with Pearl Jam—and back with his guitar—as we speak.
