I own a marshall AVT150X, and it has never deceived me. It still depends on your budget, I bought it about a few years ago and it costed me about 900$ (it was on sale). If you have that budget I highly recommend it for every rock and metal people, from accoustic simulation to the scooped hi gain channel, this amp sound great ! I practice with it all the time.
