Well, Modplug can export wav files, which can be used with Sound Forge, Cool Edit, and others. It's a really good program for specifically making music. Sound Forge is good for recording guitar, editing it with special effects and stuff, but it's not very good at putting it all together and getting it mixed right. Modplug is better for panning and sequencing everything with a song. You should check this program out. It's pretty confusing at first, but as you learn it you will never use anything else to create an entire song. I may put up a song that was made with it. It has a lot of guitar, even solos. Everything else in it is drum samples I made with Sound Forge and Cool Edit. It was tracked by another musician. I just remixed it, and butchered his guitar solos with distortion effects. It was metal, now I'd call it Industrial.
