I prefer to do a pinch harmonic when playing electric guitar for several reasons:
1. Once you learn it, it is as easy to perform as other harmonics
2. It allows you to manipulate the notes after you have played it, such as bending, adding vibrato, etc.

I have seen earlier posts on pinch harmonics so I am not going to enter into how to perform them unless someone requests it...
