in order for harmonics to work, you have to have your finger BARELY touching the metal fret ( not even touching the metal fret, actually, just over it) its gotta be very very very lightly touched on the strings. keep working at it.

if you are getting the exact same note out if it, you are just playing the note then...you'll figure it out, keep working on it
